Neeru Mittal, PhD
Dr. Neeru Mittal holds a BS-MS dual degree with a master’s in chemistry from IISER Mohali, India and a PhD from the ETH Zurich, Switzerland. During her doctoral journey, she did an abroad stay at South Korea as part of the Young Researcher’s Exchange Program, mentored 10+ undergraduate students and supervised master thesis, and successfully developed two functional prototypes of biodegradable batteries as power sources for green electronics. At Veranex, Neeru supports clients in evaluating the safety and performance of medical devices, with a focus on clinical and biological assessments. Her responsibilities encompass the preparation of comprehensive biological risk analysis and toxicological risk analysis reports, conducting evaluations for change control, crafting gap analysis aligned with latest ISO 10993 series standards, and writing clinical evaluation documents including CEP/CERs. Additionally, she also assists clients in evaluation of the biocompatibility of nanomaterials in medical devices. Neeru is fluent in English and Hindi.
