Tim has over 20 years of consulting experience assessing the reimbursement environment for medical devices, in vitro diagnostics, specialty drugs and biologics. His work addresses the private and public payer product evaluation processes, as well as coverage policies and formulary analyses. Tim is an expert at the design, conduct, and analysis of payer research that produces insightful and actionable strategies. He also designs tactical reimbursement launch plans and needs assessments for specialty drug companies whose products require physician reimbursement support services and payer accounts management. In addition, he has developed strategies for novel diagnostic imaging modalities used for detection, treatment planning, and surveillance. He holds a BA in Political Science from Connecticut College.
Catheline Plaideau, PhD
Director, Product Commercialization
Catheline has over 10 years of experience working globally with biopharmaceuticals, medical devices, and diagnostics within biotech, pharma companies, and life science consulting. Her experience spans the drug development continuum to reimbursement, pricing, HEOR, and commercial strategy and operations across various therapeutic areas. Implementing Precision Medicine by demonstrating its value to healthcare providers, payers, and labs in oncology and neurology has been an important focus for her over the last few years. Catheline completed a Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical and Biomedical Sciences at the Catholic University of Louvain and the de Duve Institute in Belgium. She also holds certificates in Health Economics and a double master’s degree in Bioengineering and Business Management from the Catholic University of Louvain and the Brussels Management School, respectively.
David Schmidt, PhD
Sr Manager, Product Commercialization
David contributes to market access and reimbursement efforts for clients in the US and global markets. With a background in engineering related to medical devices, David has five years of experience in providing reimbursement consulting solutions for medical device, diagnostic and pharmaceutical manufacturers. This experience includes reviewing coding, coverage and payment and relevant literature to assess reimbursement opportunities, hurdles, requirements and timing for projects in the United States, and leading similar projects across global markets. This experience also includes organizing and leading primary research with key stakeholders to discuss perceived benefits and limitations of new technologies and collect key feedback on evidence strategies to support adoption or coverage, and distilling results from both primary and secondary research to provide key messages and actionable recommendations. David has a Ph.D. in Bioengineering from Northeastern University in Boston, Massachusetts.
